Pediatric Telephone Triage RN (Remote)

Help parents through their child's illness or injury from your home office. Pediatric triage RNs handle after-hours calls for pediatric practices, giving clear, age-appropriate guidance and escalating when a child needs to be seen.

- Answer clinical calls routed from our client practices' answering services and perform telephone triage using Schmitt-Thompson protocols
- Assess symptoms, determine the appropriate level of care, and give clear care advice
- Escalate to the practice's on-call provider according to each client's criteria
- Document every call accurately in a nursing note
- Communicate calmly and clearly with worried parents and caregivers
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license
- Pediatric acute care experience (e.g., pediatric ED, inpatient pediatrics, PICU, or pediatric urgent care)
- Availability for evening, weekend, and holiday shifts
- Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet, private, HIPAA-appropriate home workspace
Preferred
- California and/or Oregon RN licenses
- Multistate (Nurse Licensure Compact) license
- Prior telephone triage experience
